Heritage Film Ventures is a Nigerian nonprofit organisation dedicated to locating, recovering, restoring, preserving, documenting and promoting Nigerian and African films for future generations.
Our History
Born from an urgent need
Across Nigeria, decades of cinematic history sit in danger — celluloid decaying in forgotten vaults, prints scattered across the world, and the memories of pioneers fading with time. Heritage Film Ventures was founded to answer this crisis: to find what was lost, restore what survives, and document the people and stories that built Nigerian cinema.
What began as a rescue effort has grown into an institution — one that aspires to stand among the world's leading film archives and cultural foundations.
